REIKI SESSIONS


Reiki improves one’s spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being and has the power to initiate deep relaxation. Developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui, Reiki is a Japanese "laying on hands" technique. REI is "soul, spirit" and KI is "vital energy”. It is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy, healthy and help promote general well-being. A Reiki therapy session is normally a full-body treatment procedure. Clients are asked to lie quietly, fully clothed as I place my hands on or above you. Reiki energy is channeled from the body’s chakras, starting from the head and working its way down. It will flow to where it is needed to go on its own.
